SASHVI

Group Exhibition, June 14, 2019

SASHVI (Georgian):  Entry pass - is a document issued in order to get an entry permission for particular institutions; An invitation letter or a small piece of paper that leads us to the destination and helps us reach the goal.

Four Georgian artists participate in this exhibition. Apart from their profession and the fact that they all study together at the Düsseldorf Art Academy, they do not seem to have anything else in common.

Despite different stories and past, the four artists needed the so-called Sashvi (entry permit) in different ways to achieve their goals. Now their Sashvi is their art, opening the doors to the art world.

The Embassey of Georgia to the Federal Republic of Germany belongs also to the strategic objects and its doors can be entered exceptionally with "Sashvi" in the hand. In order to visit this particular exhibition, a virtual "Sashvi" was issued, that gives guests the opportunity to get into the exhibition space, where they can meet Georgian contemporary art and young Georgian artists.
